Storyline

Bob Hope talks about his trip to entertain the troops in Saudi Arabia, 50 years after his first tour for the troops. Clips from the following night's TV special are shown. Richard Harris comments on the eight-year gap since his last movie. He tells some stories from his past, and says that writing his autobiography was difficult because he couldn't remember half of his life; he tells how he recently visited his childhood home in Limerick, and had dinner with his first girlfriend after not seeing her in over 40 years. He talks about getting the lead role in his movie "The Field" after being offered a smaller role. A clip from the movie is shown. Helen Thomas talks about her reporting career and various presidents, and discusses the relationship between the press and the White House. She comments on the issue of reporting the private conduct of public officials. She also discusses the likelihood of a US war in Kuwait. Written by lenab9011
