Very Good Freedom of Speech Drama
6 July 2004 | by Mobones2itSee all my reviews

In this movie we see how politicians use sexual issues in the arts as a tool to gain money and support by dividing the community. The main thing I like about the movie is, it does not take sides, just shows politicians from both liberal and conservative sides playing with your rights to get your money and your support. I saw this movie in a theater in LA, and then watched the DVD version, which seems considerably better. The production quality is rough at spots as I think this was a low budget movie. Sometimes the dialog is not very clear and on a couple of scenes the picture is fuzzy. The lead actress is both very pretty and very talented. I would like to see other movies she has been in, but can't find any. Her name is Micah West. The lead male is good in some scenes, but seems lost in others. Most of the support actors are adequate to very good, particularly the actor who plays Jack Brown. The bondage scenes are a bit shocking and there is a lot of nudity, but the overall writing is very good, particularly the courtroom scenes. If you've ever wondered how politicians talk when there are no cameras around, then this movie gives some insight. I would recommend this movie if you like intelligent political dramas.
