The Five Best Kevin James Movies of His Career

It seems as though Kevin James has been around for a lot longer than he has, but in fact his film debut came in 2005 in the movie Hitch. Since then he’s been a mainstay in Hollywood and has been very prevalent and impossible to forget. His brand of comedy is a nice blend of the physical and cerebral elements that make him one of the more temperate comedians in the business at the moment. As he’s gotten older though he’s definitely calmed down along with the rest of those that he’s been seen to star with, though his comedic

TV Review: ‘Russian Doll’

TV Review: ‘Russian Doll’
This is a particularly tricky review to write, but not because the merits of “Russian Doll” are at all ambiguous. On the contrary, the show is so striking and smart that I made a note to include it on my favorite TV shows of 2019 immediately after blowing through the season — which is saying something, since that was back in December of 2018.

But part of what makes the series so special is how it’s meticulously constructed, shedding layer after surprising layer until the bittersweet end. (Hence: “Russian Doll”.) Digging too deep into what makes this show great would mean betraying too many of its secrets,

TV Review: ‘Black Earth Rising’

TV Review: ‘Black Earth Rising’
Bringing to bear a talented cast on a story of real geopolitical significance, “Black Earth Rising,” Netflix’s drama about the long-tail aftermath of the Rwandan genocide, would seem to have had the potential to be one of 2019’s early television successes. Which makes its falling short all the more painful and pronounced. The show, previously aired in the U.K. on BBC Two and written and directed by Hugo Blick (“The Honourable Woman”), squanders the audience’s goodwill with ill-conceived narrative turns, a reliance on cliché, and, worst, dialogue that defies belief. Its potential resonances as a story about how we metabolize,

Arrow Boss Teases Oliver's New Groove, Two Origin Stories, All-Future Episode, Robert Queen's 'Return' and More

Oliver Queen’s got a brand new bag when The CW’s Arrow resumes Season 7 tonight at 8/7c.

As revealed at the close of the (terrific) midseason finale, Star City’s infamous vigilante is now working unmasked as a consultant for the Scpd. That will stir conflicts, showrunner Beth Schwartz says in the Q&A below, as well as set Oliver’s wife Felicity on a mission.

Schwartz also fielded our burning questions about the (misleading?) flash-forwards, Robert Queen’s “return,” haunted Laurel and more.

The co-hosts of Fox & Friends have issued an apology after a graphic shown during Monday’s broadcast suggested that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died.

Earlier in the Fox News morning program, Ainsley Earhardt’s interview with a college professor was briefly preceded by a graphic of Ginsburg that featured her photo and the words “1933-2019,” indicating that Ginsburg had passed away. Though the graphic only appeared for a fleeting few seconds, co-host Steve Doocy addressed the error in a later segment.

Chinese Entertainment Industry Braces for a ‘Cold Winter’ in 2019

Winter is here for the Chinese entertainment industry, a half-dozen top-tier industry professionals concurred in Beijing at the launch last week of Tencent Entertainment’s annual data-filled white paper.

China’s box office hit new heights in 2018, raking in about $9 billion, but it was also a year of drastic regulatory changes and a government tax crackdown that have spooked investors and put projects across the country on hold.

“Why call this period a ‘cold winter’? In 2018, 20 film and TV companies saw RMB160 billion of stock market value evaporate, while eight saw their valuation fall by more than 50%. The departure of
