Replicas Review

Replicas is about yet another scientist who can only see the science in things. William Foster (Keanu Reeves) sees humans only as a centerpiece to neurological entanglements and patterns, easy to bottle up and recreate. At least, in theory. William’s miscues in biosynthetic engineering are in line with those plaguing Jeffrey Nachmanoff’s Replicas: neither recognize humanity, not in William’s experiments, nor in this film’s, well, everything. The answer to William’s problems turns out not to need it, but Replicas could surely use some.

Within this lackluster world, in which human cloning is banned and the weather in Puerto Rico has deadly tendencies, William works for the ominous Bionyne Industries (a quick early shot of the boss man played by John Ortiz reveals the movie’s hand). In pure Robocop fashion, he and his team use “donors” – the war-torn corpses of young soldiers – to attempt, essentially,

The Shining sequel Doctor Sleep has wrapped filming

Director Mike Flanagan has taken to Facebook to announced that Doctor Sleep – the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s sequel to The Shining – has now wrapped production ahead of its release in a little over a year from now.

So that’s a wrap on Doctor Sleep! It’s been a long, crazy, truly unique experience,” writes Flanagan. “I read the novel as soon as it came out back in 2013, fascinated and moved by the epic story of Dan Torrance and Abra Stone, but I never imagined for a moment that I’d be the person to bring it to the big screen. It’s been an honor to spend the last five months with this fantastic cast and crew, and to be trusted with Stephen King’s extraordinary story. One of the highlights of my career, without a doubt. Shine on, everyone. Shine on.”

"There is a reason human cloning is banned." Entertainment Studios has debuted a third (and likely final) trailer for the sci-fi thriller titled Replicas, starring Keanu Reeves as a mad scientists who tries to figure out how to bring back his family after they are killed in a car accident. He eventually tries to clone them but we all know how that turns out. The first trailer for this showed up last fall, almost a year ago, and then the film just disappeared for a while. Waiting in limbo until recently. They dropped another new trailer a few months ago, and now there's a release date - January 2019. That's quite a delay. The full cast includes Alice Eve, Thomas Middleditch, Emily Alyn Lind, John Ortiz, Emjay Anthony, and Nyasha Hatendi. At least this film finally has a solid release date, but I still don't think anyone is going to go see it.

Replicas Poster Brings Keanu Reeves Back to the World of Sci-Fi

Replicas Poster Brings Keanu Reeves Back to the World of Sci-Fi
A new poster for Keanu Reeves' Replicas has been released. The poster is leading to hope that a release date will be announced soon. The first trailer for Replicas arrived last October, and we didn't get a second trailer until last month, nearly a year later. The poster looks pretty intriguing and is reminiscent of many old sci-fi DVD covers from the early 2000s, which is not a bad thing. I, Robot comparisons are sure to be made after checking out the poster as well.

Keanu Reeves stars in Replicas as Will Foster, who is described as a daring synthetic biologist. Foster is on a mission to bring back his family, who were killed in a car accident, using new cloning technology. The trailer showed Foster transferring a brain dead man's thoughts to the body of a robot, which doesn't end well. In the process, he violates all possible laws and principles,

Doctor Sleep will acknowledge Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining

Given that it’s based upon a direct sequel to the book and features several returning characters, it probably won’t come as much of a surprise to hear that the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep will make reference to The Shining.

However, in an interview with Bloody Disgusting, director Mike Flanagan has revealed that such reference won’t be limited to King’s novel, as it will also acknowledge Stanley Kubrick’s classic 1980 film – and they even tracked down actor Danny Lloyd, who played Danny Torrance in the original movie.

“I think you do have to acknowledge that,” said Flanagan. “There is no version of the world where I am trying not to acknowledge one of the greatest films ever made. There’s no upside in shying away from that reality. At the same time, this is not The Shining. It’s its own story and in a very specific way.

Replicas Trailer Has Keanu Reeves Trying to Clone a Dead Family
Replicas brings acting legend and genre icon Keanu Reeves back to the world of sci-fi, and it looks down right creepy. Today, we have the trailer for this thriller, which evokes a strong Flatliners tone with a little bit of Johnny Depp's Transcendence thrown in for good measure.

Entertainment Studios brings our first sneak peek at Keanu Reeves in the forthcoming sci-fi thriller Replicas. Reeves is joined by a cast that also includes Thomas Middleditch, Alice Eve, Emily Alyn Lind, John Ortiz and Emjay Anthony. The trailer strongly touts that this chiller is from the same guy that brought the world The Transformers. Judging from this first look footage, it's hard to tell if that's a good, bad, or potentially great thing. However you read it, the titles bring the news on like a threat.

Replicas has not been given a stateside release date yet, and though it looks like a very stylish thriller,

‘Code Black’: Creator Michael Seitzman On Emotional Series Finale, His Idea For Season 4 & Hopes For Finding New Home

‘Code Black’: Creator Michael Seitzman On Emotional Series Finale, His Idea For Season 4 & Hopes For Finding New Home
Spoiler Alert: This article contains details about tonight’s series finale of Code Black.

CBSCode Black ended its run on CBS tonight with an action-packed Season 3 finale, which marks a series finale for the medical drama, canceled by the network in May. It gave all characters’ stories proper ending, especially lead Marcia Gay Harden’s Dr. Leanne Rorish, who reunited with her foster daughter Ariel (Emily Alyn Lind).

Created by Michael Seitzman based on Ryan McGarry’s feature documentary, Code Black defied conventions during its run, including revamping a portion of its cast every season to resemble real life at a hospital where residents graduate and move on and new ones come in every year. The series stayed true to form with an unconventional finale, in which the story was told out of order, starting with an airplane crashing into Angels Memorial then backtracking to the events leading up

‘Code Black’ Series Finale: CBS Medical Drama Ends With Epic & Emotional Bang
Spoiler Alert: This article contains details about tonight’s series finale of Code Black.

If you are going to go out, go out with a bang — that seemed to be the sentiment for the Code Black series finale tonight on CBS.

The medical drama was not short on the drama as it stacked intense, near-death moments in and outside of Angels Memorial. The Season 3-ending episode, appropriately titled “The Business of Saving Lives,” also served up some emotional connections with the many struggling relationships in the series — mainly Marcia Gay Harden’s Dr. Leanne Rorish and foster daughter Ariel (Emily Alyn Lind).

The episode is told somewhat out of order, starting with an airplane crashing into Angels Memorial. It then backtracks to the events leading up to that crash — and boy oh boy is there a lot.

Through the course of the episode, Col. Ethan Willis (Rob Lowe) continues to
